MAPAS will request the appropriate device permission before accessing location information where required.

7. Healthcare and Pharmacy-Related Information

MAPAS may facilitate access to doctors, clinics, pharmacies, and appointments.

Because some information associated with these services may be sensitive, MAPAS will limit its handling to information reasonably necessary to provide the requested service or for other lawful purposes.

MAPAS is not a substitute for a doctor, pharmacist, or other healthcare professional.

Users should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive medical information through general MAPAS messaging or other features.

8. Data Sharing

MAPAS may share relevant information when necessary to provide a requested service.

Drivers

Information necessary to complete a ride may be shared with the assigned driver, such as:

  • User name
  • Pickup location
  • Destination
  • Relevant ride information

Delivery Personnel

Relevant information may be shared to complete a delivery.

Restaurants

Information necessary to process and fulfill a food order may be shared with the relevant restaurant.

Pharmacies

Information necessary to fulfill a pharmacy request may be shared with the selected pharmacy.

Doctors and Clinics

Information necessary to facilitate an appointment may be shared with the relevant healthcare provider.

MAPAS may use trusted third-party providers to support the Services, including providers for:

  • SMS and OTP verification
  • Maps and geolocation
  • Cloud hosting
  • Payment processing
  • Analytics
  • Notifications
  • Customer support
  • Security

Examples may include Twilio for SMS/OTP services and Google Maps Platform for mapping and location functionality.

  • Third-party providers may process information on behalf of MAPAS and may have their own privacy policies and terms.
  • MAPAS will seek to limit information shared with service providers to what is reasonably necessary for the service they provide.

10. Data Security

MAPAS takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect user information from:

  • Unauthorized access

Security measures may include access controls, authentication, secure communications, monitoring, and appropriate data-storage protections.

  • However, no internet-based system can guarantee complete security.

MAPAS should not provide unrestricted access to user information.

Where possible, access should follow the principle of least privilege, meaning individuals and systems receive only the access necessary for their responsibilities.

MAPAS personnel, drivers, delivery personnel, partners, and service providers who have access to user information are expected to:

  • Use information only for legitimate service purposes.
  • Keep user information confidential.
  • Not sell or misuse user information.
  • Not access information without authorization.
  • Not copy or disclose information unnecessarily.
  • Follow applicable security and privacy requirements.

13. Data Retention

MAPAS will retain user information only for as long as reasonably necessary for:

  • Providing the Services
  • Maintaining account records

  • Customer support
  • Fraud prevention
