MAPAS ("MAPAS", "we", "us", or "our") respects your right to control your personal information. This Data Deletion Policy explains how users can request deletion of their MAPAS account and personal data.

This policy applies to information collected through the MAPAS mobile application, website, and related services.

  • Prevent fraud or abuse
  • Protect the security of MAPAS and its users
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims

Where retention is legally required, the relevant information will be securely retained only for the required period and will not be used for unrelated purposes.

2. What May Be Deleted

  • Other personal information associated with your account

Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law.

3. Information That May Be Retained

Certain information may need to be retained after account deletion, including information necessary for:

  • Tax and accounting requirements
  • Financial transaction records
  • Fraud prevention
  • Security investigations
  • Dispute resolution
  • Legal obligations
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Protection of MAPAS's legal rights

Where possible, retained information will be minimized and separated from active user accounts.

4. How to Request Account and Data Deletion

Users may request deletion through the MAPAS application where the account deletion feature is available.

Through the MAPAS App

Go to: Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. Follow the instructions displayed in the application.

By Email

If account deletion is not available through the application, send a request to: [Insert Privacy/Support Email]. Use the subject: "MAPAS Account and Data Deletion Request". Include: full name, mobile phone number associated with your MAPAS account, and a statement requesting account and data deletion.

For security purposes, MAPAS may request reasonable information to verify that the request is being made by the account owner.

5. Verification of Deletion Requests

MAPAS may verify the identity of the person requesting deletion before processing the request.

This is intended to prevent unauthorized persons from deleting another user's account or personal information.

We will not request your password or other unnecessary sensitive information solely for the purpose of verifying a deletion request.

6. Processing Time

MAPAS will make reasonable efforts to process verified deletion requests within the period required by applicable law.

Some information may remain temporarily in backup systems or security logs and will be deleted or overwritten according to applicable retention schedules.

7. Effect of Account Deletion

Once your account is deleted:

  • You may no longer be able to access your MAPAS account.
  • Your saved profile information will no longer be available.
  • Your ride, delivery, food, pharmacy, and appointment history may no longer be accessible through the app.
  • Active or pending services may need to be cancelled before deletion.
  • You may need to create a new account if you return to MAPAS in the future.

Deleting your MAPAS account does not automatically cancel obligations or transactions that have already been completed.

  • Payment processing
  • Cloud hosting
